TGDA donates to Heritage Fund

At its March Board meeting in Austin, the TGDA Board of Directors voted unanimously to make a $1,000 contribution to the National Shooting Sports Foundation Heritage Fund.  The fund Heritage Foundation (HSSHF) to “…create a sustainable environment for the shooting sports in America.”

The Heritage Fund’s resources are allocated providing 50% to communications programs and 50% for legal defense of the firearms industry. Current Heritage Fund efforts include providing a coordinated legal defense to municipal lawsuits that seek to hold our industry responsible for the acts of criminals, funding voter education campaigns that support pro-gun candidates, and communications programs like Project ChildSafe that support our industry’s tradition of safety and responsibility.

Today there are some 150 companies that have pledged ½% of their sales to the fund to help preserve our hunting and shooting sports heritage.
