TGDA has three membership categories – federally licensed firearms dealers who maintain storefront operations, manufacturers and suppliers, and gun owners who support the purpose of the association. Federally Licensed Firearms Dealers Membership dues for federally licensed firearms dealers who maintain storefront operations ranges from $50 to $500 per year. Information, networking, and representation are the cornerstones of TGDA membership benefits. Take a look at these great membership benefits.
TGDA Newsletter - Keeps members up-to-date at all times on important industry and association information and issues.
TGDA Advisories – Detailed explanations of legislative and regulatory issues affecting TGDA members with specific compliance instructions. For example, when the BATF issued the new Form 4473, TGDA informed its members of the changes made to the new form in a special TGDA Advisory.
TGDA Legislative Update – During each session of the Texas Legislature, TGDA members are kept informed of all legislation affecting the Texas firearms industry.
Bill Tracking – When the Texas Legislature is in session, members are able to view all bills affecting the Texas firearms industry and track their progress.
Representation – Most of your membership dues go to pay for representation of federally licensed firearms dealers before the Texas Legislature, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and other state and federal regulatory agencies that affect licensed dealers and gun owners. TGDA maintains a staff in Austin that monitors and tracks all legislative and regulatory proposals affecting dealers, and coordinates efforts to protect the industry in the political arena. Gun Owners TGDA invites all gun owners to join TGDA and support the association's efforts to protect gun rights in Texas and nationally. Membership dues are divided into four categories:
